ADB Commercial Construction, Inc, Cypress, Texas, August 2007 – May 2019
The initial relationship developed with ADB as they were a General Contractor used for Landry’s Restaurant concepts. Served as Sr. Project Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, estimating, and client relations establishing general policies & procedures.
Developed new client concept relations with Gringo’s Tex-Mex, Jimmy Changas, Luby’s, Fuddruckers, Alicia’s Mexican Grill, Dario’s Coaches Sports Bar, Corner Bakery, Tutti Frutti, Pablo’s Mexican Kitchen and several others.
Jerry Kachel Builders, Spring, Texas, October 2005 to July 2007
Contracted to consult with Brinker International Restaurants for construction of new “On the Border” concept. Assisted in design and construction technique detailing for new roll-out. Managed construction of the first (3) restaurants in the Houston area. Developed a new relationship for Jerry Kachel Builders with Pappas Group after the acquisition of Luby’s Restaurants to build a new redesigned Luby’s image concept.
Landry’s Restaurants, Inc., Houston, Texas, September 2002 to September 2005
Re-employed by Landry’s through acquisition of the Saltgrass Steak House concept. Requested to stay on an assist in establishing construction program implementation of the Saltgrass concept into the Landry’s Development Team program. Served as Project Manager for Saltgrass Steak House & Joe’s Crab Shack projects.
Saltgrass Steak House, Houston, Texas, March 1997 to September 2002
Hired by Saltgrass Steak House concept to help build Development’s Architectural & Construction Division for growth. Currently had (5) existing restaurants. Began employment as the primary Project Manager. As concept growth developed for “Saltgrass Steak House” concept and a new concept, “Babin’s Seafood House” developed, a promotion to “Director of Architecture & Construction” was given. As growth of these two concepts grew another promotion to “Director of Development” was given. During this time, the financial arm partner of the company, Metro National, wanted to establish a separate Development entity to become the proprietary development & construction company in lieu of hiring other separate general contractors for the construction purposes. After about a 6 month trial period this experiment was cancelled. Saltgrass Steak House was eventually acquired by Landry’s Restaurants.
Kone Construction, Inc., Pasadena, Texas, November 1996 to March of 1997
Resigned from Landry’s after the completion of the San Luis Resort Renovations and consulted with a small subcontractor in developing into a General Contractor for an IHOP Franchisee client. During this time Saltgrass Steak House approached me about working with them for their future growth and development plans.
Landry’s Seafood Restaurants, Inc., Houston, Texas, August 1994 to October 1996
Hired by Landry’s after acquisition of the “Joe’s Crab Shack” concept. Became Construction Administrator for Joe’s Crab Shack Division. Promoted to “Director of Design & Construction” for Joe’s Crab Shack Division within the first year. In late 1995 Tillman Fertitta purchase the San Luis hotel from The Mitchell Group along with the Key Largo Hotel next door. Tillman assigned me to oversee and run the renovation of the San Luis Resort, The Hilton Hotel, and an IHOP restaurant along with all the site landscaping and helicopter pad at the San Luis. These projects were completed in about nine months.

Other duties included consultant coordination, regulatory agency reviews, cost budgeting, specification writing, and code research.

Employed upon graduating from college. Intern-development program. Duties included construction of architectural models, preparation of preliminary design drawings, assistance in the preparation of construction document drawings, and code research.
